Knowledge transforms lives. By donating computers and books to schools, we give students tools to learn, grow, and build a better future.
We aim to build Ghana's first women-led Domestic Violence Shelter in the Volta Region to offer protection, rehabilitation, and empowerment to survivors of domestic and partner abuse.
Supporting the reentry of teenage mothers to school is our way of restoring hope and giving young mothers a second chance live their dreams. We see a great opportunity for these girls to provide a better life and upbringing for their children.
WELCOME TO FEMININE STAR AFRICA
Feminine Star Africa started in 2009 as a passion to support young girls who got pregnant and dropped out of school in a village called Bodada.
In our attempt to curb the occurrence of such pregnancies and hep the girls to earn income and be self reliant, we thought it wise to organize seminars on sex education and engage them in pepper farming to earn income. After a year, we realized their interest were different and started helping one girl at a time to learn a trade or go back to school.
WHAT WE DO
Girls Education Support
We support girls from underprivileged homes to access quality education. We give scholarships and educational materials to every girl with determination and the zeal for a better life.Â
Pragmatic Reading and Writing projects
These projects focus on developing real-world literacy skills. By encouraging practical reading and writing, students learn to think critically, communicate clearly, and apply knowledge effectively in everyday life.
Skills Training
We train young women mostly teen mothers and single mothers in various skills including sewing, bead designing, hair dressing, catering among others.
